A simple vial-based system for enumerating bacterial load for the lower throughput user.
The GreenLight™ Model 910 is a vial based system providing a rapid method for the assessment of bacterial load through analysis of microbial oxygen consumption. As bacteria in the sample grow, they deplete O2 which is detected as an increase in the GreenLight™ probe signal. The time required for this signal to reach a critical threshold is then used to calculate the CFU/g value of food sample, based on a pre-determined calibration.
Unlike the traditional agar or film plate methods, the GreenLight™ Model 910 reduces sample preparation time, the overall cost of testing and provides same-day results. This model is suited for lower throughput requirements such as 1-50 samples per day.

The GreenLight™ Model 910 is used with APCheck™vials - the prepared sample is added to the vial and then placed in the instrument for measurement. This system provides results within hours (1-14hrs depending on the bacterial load) facilitating rapid, easy and sensitive enumeration of bacterial load in a variety of food samples without the need to conduct multiple sample dilutions and lengthy tedious counts on agar.
Model 910 is suited for lower throughput requirements such as 1-50 samples per day. It is an ideal tool for the screening of microbial load in a manufacturing process or in-process environment within food companies.
